A Glass of Milk

I AM FURIOUS !! I AM VERY ANGRY !!
Like the wild stallion blazing across the prairie
While others are swimming in luxury, I struggle to make a penny
And on my breakfast table is a glass of milk half empty

I wake up for breakfast with the sun shining brightly
Its rays flying through the window so very brilliantly
I smile to myself, for life is so beautiful
And on my breakfast table is a glass of milk still half full

I am late for work so I must hurry
Like thousands of others, slaving their lives unhappily
I want to be free from this modern day slavery
So that my glass of milk will never be half empty

I walk to work, like thousands of others
I greet them all, for they are my sisters and brothers
I smile to myself, thinking of the morning
Seeing the half full glass of milk, makes life worth living
