On the Concept of Time

What if I told you that a straight line
Is actually a sequence of small individual and independent dots
If I take one dot away, it would break the sequence
But all the dots before that one are still in place
And all the dots after that one are still there too

What if I told you that this applies to time as well
That every moment is discreet, independent of one another
There is no relationship between each moment
Each moment takes place one after the other, flowing smoothly
Already in place and spanning into the future

Therefore, each moment of our lives is already in place
The past, the present, the future, intertwined with other people’s moments
A mind boggling mass of moments crisscrossing one another
There is no cause and effect relationship between moments
We have no power to change something that is already there

We have no control over our moments, our future, our destiny
The sequence has already been laid down since the beginning of time
Cause and effect relationship is only a fallacy of our puny rational minds
Distorting our perception and understanding of the essence of life
And this is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth

  1. Barangkali itu sebabnya ada pohon yan gtidak bisa berbuah ya, karena ada segmen dari production-line nya tercerabut. Tetapi kenapa warna kopi selalu hitam ya ?
