The Collar
You see so many of these people everywhere
Short, tall, white, colored, ugly and fair
They come from all walks of life
From the rich, sophisticated, intellectual classes
To the poor, crude, uneducated masses
Their heads are raised up high above their breast
A tight collar binds their necks from chin to chest
And the collar is chained firmly to the ground
Forcing their eyes to look down on others maliciously
And restraining their bodies from moving freely
Alas, many of them are my friends, family and neighbors
Invisible to the naked eye, they all wear this devil’s collar
I feel tremendous pressure to wear one too
I am nothing but a weakling with no desire to fight
So I will conform, that is my plight
I feel like a brute, undermining the essence of humanity
Enslaved by valueless values of modern society
I have to break free from this dreadful COLLAR!!
To fly to higher levels of mental and spiritual freedom
To embrace true love, happiness and wisdom
